Fine artist and chief designer of FÉIN, Jennifer Féin attended both the Studio Art College International in Florence, Italy, and the School of The Art Institute of Chicago, receiving not only her BFA in fashion design but myriad awards and honors, including for innovative use of materials. Féin’s undergraduate collection was also published in Women’s Wear Daily.
Féin landed a coveted internship with Helmut Lang while still attending school, and it was here that she perfected her skill and admiration of detail. Shortly thereafter, Féin sharpened her fashion and design expertise at Proenza Schouler. She went on to become a design associate for Club Monaco, and after three years Féin struck out on her own, launching a capsule collection that attracted A-list clients like Rihanna. Dresses from the collection were also showcased in the 2011 September issue of American Vogue featuring Kate Moss and shot by Mario Testino.
In addition to American Vogue, Féin’s eye-catching style and design work was published in Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair,W, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour,Elle, Marie Claire, and Interview. She further created custom pieces for the likes of Anne Hathaway and Daphne Guinness, and served as chief costume designer for numerous music videos and films. Féin currently owns and operates FÉIN, an independent atelier that provides styling and custom designs for fashion editorials, films, television, and the music industry. She spent 15 years working in fashion in New York City but is now based in L.A.
